I agree that the first site is an excellent site regarding the correct markings and colours for Soviet GPW aircraft.  I'll admit I'm a little biased as I'm a frequent contributor to the site.  If the developers have questions regarding the markings and colours of Soviet aircraft (the camouflage for the Il-2 in the original Il-2 Sturmovik game was wrong for all versions), this is a good place to start.  I've noticed that the field-modified Il-2 with the added gunner's seat is in the proper green/black over blue camouflage in the screenshots I've seen for BoS.  Excellent!

Very nice info. I'm currently researching IL2 units and operations in the Stalingrad area: Units, aircraft, pilots, missions, deployment, tactics, briefing and other documents, photos, videos etc for a squadron based campaign. Any links would be much appreciated.
