It happened several times now, that my flight sighted bombers or IL2s and called for attack, but then headed for the russians with unbelievable 250km/h. It is not hard to imagine, what happens, we always lose them out of sight. My cruising speed for the Focke Wulf is 420km/h, we even climb with 270km/h faster, than we follow the bombers in level flight. i have no idea, what goes wrong here. But it is no fun to fly fighter with such lame AI.

First I have heard of this.

Can you post the mission?

Was your mission a fighter mission or an attack mission?

Does this happen every time with the FW or some of the time?

Do you ever see this with other planes?

I hope, it is the correct file. I have the newest version of Winzip, now I never know, what it wants from me.

It was a fighter mission and, as far as I noticed so far, it happens always, when my squadmates recon bombers or groundattackers far away. But when the enemies are closer to us, they don't speed up either. I remember a mission, where I even saw the IL2s in about 3 or 4 km distance, but with us flying with 300km/h in that situation, we even lost distance and turned away after the radio information from my flightleader, that they are too far away to attack, I clearly saw them.

I will fly some 109 missions, to see if it happens there, too. In the few missions I was flying with 109s so far, I didn't have such a kind of situation.

After one mission with the 109 heading for IL2 and one mission heading for bombers, it seems everything is well for the 109. So it is only the 190, where the AI is following bombers and groundattackers with too low speed.
