When I play SP campaign or career, lead my team into a fight,we seperated from each other, I try to use command"Return to our mission"or"Formation XXX"
but no one listen to me.I can't regroup my team. I doubt that the commands are effective?
When I'm a team member flight with my leader, after a dogfight,I don't know where is my team leader go,ofcourse I can't rejoin my team or help them?
Any possible to create some feature, let me know my leader's location, just like in MP I ask my leader's location.

In my experience, you have to be relatively close to your wingmen for them to obey your commands.

Thats interesting.  It must have been a deliberate design choice.  By contrast  I can hear AI speaking a great length about landing permission, clear across the other side of the map.

Ya I’ve givin up on single player comms.... just don’t fly lead... follow your flight and stick with someone if you need to attack/defend

IIRC they have to be inside the rendering distance. The logic behind it might be, when they are further away, they can't see you anymore, so they don't know were you are and where to follow you or fly in formation with you. All this seen behind the artificial issue of the game, that you can't communicate with AI where you are or where he is.

What of course is a bit odd, is you don't even hear your command anymore, when you press the key, but they are out of the rendering distance. But, hey, it is after all a game.

I've made a habit from giving that "follow me" command continuously, and fly slowly when not in combat to allow my ai buddies to catch up. Well below the threshold to combat power. Even when fighting, issue that command from time to time if you lose sight of them to prevent them from running away after a bandit and getting lost. Mostly that works well.

Hopefully this stuff will be remedied with the upcoming work on the AI, I really hope that work pans out as I would love to make box my go to singleplayer game, the graphics and realism are far better than anything else we just need the AI to catch up.

This issue is very disturbing. The worst is when you try to order them around and they just follow a mission script of sorts - even your AI "youself" counterpart orders them around differently than your real self: I constantly try to get them to hold with me before an attack, and all the sudden "A.I.-me" orders them to attack. To me its the one feature of the game that really has to improve urgently.

IMO AI are complete morons. During the few career missions I flew I took a position high above then and used them as Yak bait as long as they lasted.
