Mysticpuma Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 3m 40 seconds for bomb strike then skip to 6m 4s for damage model
Bremspropeller Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Harder to bring down than a rubber ducky! Kudos for that D-9 landing - that approach made every watching Space Shuttle commander get PTSD...
Lusekofte Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Actually impressed by the visual dm after the Spit ? Is this only this ship or all ww2 ships I never had a problem with completing missions with Viggen or KA 50.
Leon_Portier Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 The hole in the ship is so big, a small boat could fit through lmao!
Rolling_Thunder Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 There's no doubt DCS looks good. It is a fantastic looking sim. However Some of the core features of any "simulation" are sorely lacking in DCS. If DCS is to truly become what everybody wishes it was it needs to address those issues instead of pumping out more and more Betas that require endless manhours that should be spent on the foundations.

I couldn't agree more, at certain point it is imperative to fix a creaky foundations before adding more and more stuff on top of it. If you don't, then the contrast between visual and physics bugs and state-of-the-art graphics becomes all the more jarring. And as a result the entire product suffers which turns away potential buyers, many of whom are rivet-counting aircraft enthusiasts, who by nature cannot suffer any of the simulation's glaring defects. I really hope IL2 doesn't fall into the same DCS trap of adding more and more content at the expense of dedicating time and resources to fixing long-standing bugs. 1
Feathered_IV Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 I find that by calling in the decorators before completing the foundations, they get to draw in those first-time customers early with the flashy visuals. However they get a diminishing return from each customer after the incomplete or inadequate core elements become obvious and they begin to drift away without making continuing purchases.
Rolling_Thunder Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 (edited) Actually I'll keep that to myself! Edited June 3, 2019 by Rolling_Thunder Private pleasure
CUJO_1970 Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 The DCS Dora looks atrocious on the outside and sounds awful. Not even close to as good as BoX Dora... Cockpit does look good though. 1
Velxra Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 (edited) All I can "see" is those glorious sounds. Also what is that location the D-9 lands at, at 4:19? It looks near identical to a location on Kuban. Edited June 5, 2019 by Geronimo553

I'm looking at scenery thinking wow this looks familiar. The airfield is closer to town but that is the only real difference.
