windows10pro - IL 1964 v4,13.4 crash on boot

IL 1964 v4,13.4 crashes on boot splash back to the desktop.

Installed sequential (1,2,3,4 versions downloaded from Steam) into the working 4.12.2 folder on my internal drive.

 

PS: IL2 v 4.12.2 runs OK, as does Cliffs of Dover.

 

Windows10pro  64bit, NVDIA GTX1050 Ti, LG 4k 3840x2160 , set manually in the conf.ini file, probably changed by the game to a lower value on boot.
