fiddlinjim Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 I fly Il2 on a daily basis and have paid for Tank Crew but unable to enjoy it because the tank controls CONFLICT with my plane controls!!!!!!!!!!!! Is this problem ever going to be fixed in IL2, many have complained about the same issue but the problem isn't even acknowledged by the IL2 developers???????? DCS has different and non-conflicting controls for every plane. 1
Nocke Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 please correct me - but as long as you don't try to fly a plane and drive a tank at the same time those conflicts don't matter at all? Or am I misunderstanding something? Assuming you are talking about those orange squares showing up in the key assignments when you assign a key to several functions. I have a lot of those. As long as its about functions not being active at the same time in a given vehicle or plane all is just fine.
Velxra Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 I totally relate Fiddlinjim and yes it is an issue. Controls we set in the tank controls section should not carry over into the plane controls section. It is very frustrating having to either place a control on an odd button or use the clunky default controls too avoid the issue. Tank controls already have a separate section which is good. But their inputs should not carry over into other areas like currently.

If you setup s Hotas button for tanks and then use that same button in planes they will conflict making it impossible to play
Nocke Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 out of curiosity - could you give me an example? I'd like to reproduce that, just to understand what this discussion is about. I have so far not seen any problem, using stick, throttle, pedals both for tanks and planes.
