BoeingFan Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 I installed the BAT mod for IL2 1946 following the instructional docs. First, I downloaded the 29 zip folders for the base BAT install and used the installer to get them into my game. This worked great so I proceeded to install Checkpoint Charlie and Operation Sealion. Everything I checked from the World War 2 era works great! However, aircraft from the jet era or WW1 era could not even be found in the aircraft selection area. I tried running one of the USMC missions with the hornet and it gave me an error message saying it's not installed. When looking through the installation logs, I couldn't see any mention of anything from the jet era. Sorry if I'm just being dumb and these aircraft aren't included but I was of the understanding that this pack is meant to contain everything found in the cup mods.
theOden Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 IIRC you need to choose either WaW or JetAge etc. before starting IL2 using the "IL Selector".

When I first started using IL2 1946 after FSX I thought wow, thats a lot of planes. When I got the courage to install the BAT mod I was amazed at how there could be more. Now I'm working on a theory that I somehow got sucked into IL2, died and now I'm in the afterlife! Thanks for the help, it works great and I have the original game if I ever want to come back to it (although I don't think I will for a while)! Now I just gotta figure out how to start the hornet ? Now I don't know why I have DCS! Edit: I'm having trouble starting the Hornet - everything else I've tried seems to work. Edited May 27, 2019 by BoeingFan

Probably need to start each engine by themselves, bind controls for engine selection. Or turn off the realistic options.
