Game startup causes infrequent freeze

When I press play at the launcher, the loading screen sometimes hangs. Other times, I go in the menu just fine, then when I load a mission in career mode, the screen turns black in what would be the paused cockpit view. I have to use ctrl alt delete task manager to kill process and restart. Any idea if this is caused by nVidia drivers? What other causes can be the case?

try turning on 4x anti-aliasing and see if that stops the black screen issue. also try turning on full screen.
