Bodenplatte and steam

Hi guys, Im asking for a friend. He purchased BOS via steam. He would like to buy Bodenplatte but its not on steam currently. Can he buy Bodenplatte (early access) here on webshop and link that with his steam acc so he can fly bodenplatte planes from steam, or that isnt possible anymore?

Yes you can, that's the same situation I'm in. I play the client through steam, but I have access to all the early access Bodenplatte content. There's a guide here:

Guide is here. One thing to point out is I don't think pre-purchasing on the IL2 store grants a steam key after release. That was something that was done in the past. He will still have access to all BoBp content upon release, it'll just be marked as unowned in steam.

Pre Ordered Bodenplatte buyers have change to ask Steam keys after release.

 

 

But you can still buy it and it will work but you cant "own" it in steam no longer.

They no longer will give Steam keys on pre ordered / early access products.

 

Bodenplatte was my last preorder/early access purchase.

Its good that people still buy them at page ( so developers get money in advance ) im just fundamental in this matter.

If he has steam version of BoS and he linked his steam account with il2 than all he needs to do is go to official il2 store, purchase BoBp and tadaaa, he'll have acces to BoBp planes when normally starting the game trough steam.

 

Note; he needs to be logged in with his il2 profile in store (which idicates his BoS steam purchase) on il2 site.

I do not remember have I done that after starting up the game for the first time or not.

This is what guide suggest : 

" Please note that you’ll have access to the content bought only on Steam until you link them. To do so later, you can click on the computer-generated player name at the top right of the main menu and choose ‘I have IL-2 account already, restart the game to enter it’ option in the prompt that will appear. "

 

There is nothing happening when I click on my game-name in top right corner of the main menu, so I'm not sure is it safe to buy it.

Sorry if I missed something in guide and every advice is much appreciated.

Hi Hunter, maybe your accounts are already linked, if ypur ingame nick isn't "player1234" instead it's =VARP=Hunter than your accounts are already linked.

 

Next; go to il2 store and logg in to your il2 profile, just in case check your purchases or activated keys, there you should see your BoS steam version purchase with key.

After that go in store section and buy BoBp, key should be activated by itself.

Run the game normally trough steam and enjoy BoBp planes.

If he bought BoS on Steam he won't see it under his il2 profile (I don't). There you only see the purchases made att the IL2 site. But this is not a problem. I bought BOM and BOK at the IL2 site and they are seamlessly integrated when I start BoS from Steam.

It's not forum profile i'm talking about....it's official il2 store profile, under acticated keys and purchases section!

Yeah, me too. I bought BoS on Steam and then BOK, BOM and some campaigns on the IL2 web store. The store profile shows all purchases except BoS. Still I always run the sim from Steam.
