Whether it happens with Oculus' ASW2.0, I don't know.

Yes it happens. ASW 2.0 may be better than 1.0 but it's not a miracle. I tried it for 5 mins and quickly returned to ASW off.

Just got the Vive Head Strap & waiting for converstion pieces to work with it & Pimax. This should help experience with it immensely. It might even cure the problems I am having with the shifting around with the foam cushion...Having said that I can truthfully say that when everything lines up I'm a believer,I only wish it would have come with a decent head strap and at least one Base Station -it would have been a better deal for all that cash.

Let us know your experience with Vive Head Strap, I might consider it as well.

Have just finished doing a jury rigged solution to fitting the Vive head-strap to the Pimax.Nothing new here but sort of a combination of advice found here and on Youtube; Velcro straps to connect the two, and additional pad ( from Oculus Rift) to help the distances of my eyes to lenses, and finally a thick foam pad to get a tighter better fit when I slide the whole contraption on my head.AND IT WORKS! Its even comfortable! It doesn't look pretty but it will do nicely until Pimax finally comes up with a working replacement of their head-strap which they are promising to do ( at what cost its your guess!)

Thanks for the pictures. I have finally also ordered the DAS, since the original headstrap is not well balanced in weight.

I’m using rEvolve mod and no problem with balance.

That's cool!

I'm using the standard strap, it works fine. I'm putting on G630 headphones - they fixate the headstrap nicely. No balance problems as soon as the headset is on.

On the plus side, it has directional sound and violent bass.

No VR speaker I have experienced came close, not even bass boosted AKG/ Samsung Odyssey OGs ;)
