Panzerlang Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 For anyone who hasn't had the email: Good morning to all MFG Crosswind owners I published new youtube video that cover Unpacking, assembly and calibration instructions. Video include captions in english which should be usefull for non english speaking owners. Pedals shown on this video include all the latest enhacements to the pedals, and I would like to point out a few things to current owners too. Toe brakes cables plug in and setup. Video Time 2:31 Watch the part that say : " Cables must be formed by hand to allow large bending radius" and " Cable should never bend near the connector housing"...by looking at some pictures published by owners of pedals I figured that I should get your attention to this matter, as I don't like how cables on those pictures look :-) - Connector housing is sealed to the cable with double shrink tube. It is made with a purpose - to prevent bending of the cable cca 1-2 cm from cable housing. IF cable bend in that 1-2 cm area it WILL WEAR OUT ! , and eventually loose contact. So Take care of those cables properly...form them by hand to prevent this from happening, so you can enjoy a long lasting product. Rubber cap on main tension screw ... video time 4:36 - This was recently identified as issue, and it is something that I overlooked while designing pedals :-( Story goes like : If you use higher tension of the main centering spring that screw is going to stick out a lot - naked. It's an issue if you fly in socks or barefoot , as there is a great possibility that you will hit that screw with your feet while you prepare for flight. I bet this happened to some of you. - New pedals ship with small rubber cap to absorb the impact and protect your feet. - for old pedals I suggest you make some kind of protection yourself. Maybe a small piece of spunge and duck tape it directly to the screw, or similar workaround ( Thanks to one Croatian buyer for pointing this issue ) Finally - I would like to thank each and every one of you who shared your opinion on the forums, liked my youtube videos and make some positive comments. You helped to spread the word about my product among simmers and encourage others to make a purchase. You made a very big contribution. - I would also like to encourage rest of you, owners, to publish your opinions too. - I would like to invite you all to subscribe to my youtube channel, like the videos and write comments. You see, youtube search criteria position videos by popularity and positive comments, likes...and by doing so you help to push my videos toward the top of the search results :-) enjoy the flight ! Sincerely yours Milan Simundza I forgot the very important thing ... For all users who are still not using firmware V4.12...or running pre 4.10 firmware... I encourage you, update ! I am here to help if you have any trouble, or you find my instructions too difficult and scary. Important is : you can't mess up so don't be afraid. I WILL SOON REMOVE OLD CALIBRATION INSTRUCTIONS, OLD FIRMWARE AND VIDEOS !!!! I need to make new, simple video about firmware upgrade and MFG Configurator features. Old videos are more complicated than necessary to new customers and can be confusing. I will not delete those videos, I will put remove them from youtube and put them on my google public folder ( as usual ) under folder "old". Milan 1
