zelil Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 Ever been chastised or warned for unnecessary air combat brutality online. Just wanted to provide evidence of real air combat brutality and the harshness of war. 1 2 1 1
AndyJWest Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 "real air combat" that curiously takes place over the computer-generated Kuban map. 5 1
fogpipe Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 Personally, i am all for unnecessary shots in that situation. If they are doomed anyway, there is no benefit for anyone to be gotten out of the situation except a little target practice.
Heckpupper Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 You really played yourself with this one didn't you? Tbh though as far as real life goes purposely turning enemy pilots into cat food is a perfectly reasonable thing to do as they're enemy combatants that will go out of their way to return home and get airbourne again, it's up to individual to take moral highground of not doing so. Some pilots took that highground, other ones didn't. 1 3
Mauf Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 Needs more camshake and blur filters. About shooting the already defeated: You can do it... be mindful though that you'll be A. using up ammo on a target that is effectively already out of the fight and B. sacrificing altitude to do so, putting you at a disadvantage for the joy of mincing the enemy pilot. Your call but be assured, many people just LOVE to see those juicy targets that come up from having just bounced a dead engine gliding teammate.
Cybermat47 Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 Okay, this joke was kinda funny. ... it was a joke, right? You weren’t actually trying to fool us with obvious game footage?

Joking aside, i just watched a youtube video of a pilot saying that at some particular time he didnt have the "killer instinct", implying that he developed it later. It would certainly change you knowing that if you didnt make absolutely sure, the guy might be back trying to kill you tomorrow.
357th_Dog Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 This post is equal parts yikes and equal parts cringe... 2
CUJO_1970 Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 If you haven't flown online with or against zelil, he is one of those players that loves to shoot landing and crash-landing or doomed aircraft. He will go from flying on your team to switching sides and shooting you as you try to bail from your burning aircraft on the very next sortie. He's the guy that jumps in right after you shoot a plane to pieces and issues the coup de gras to your already dead enemy and gets rewarded with all the points ? None of which is against the rules, lol.
