Bought BOK last week and just got a chance to fly a couple of missions on it today, absolutely beautiful :)

Hats off to the art dept.

Indeed. The developers have clearly been putting a lot of work into improving map graphics technology, and Kuban was a good place to show it off. If they can match this (or better it) for Bodenplatte, we are in for a treat.

Yep, one of the most memorable moments I've had in my entire IL-2 career escaping multiple pursuers down low in the deep valleys in the south-eastern part of the map. I felt like a little kid running around in a labyrinth.

the Kuban map is just breath taking! The sheer amount of trees at forests is something that got my attention at first! It's also fun to load up Kuban in DCS than IL2 for a bit of time travel (tho Dcs could use a face lift on its graphics/optimization as Il2 knocks it out of the park with their map)

Fully agree Kuban is gorgeous !

I have been flying Spitfire Careers and PWCG Campaigns over it for the last several months.

Really looking forward to Bodenplatte.

I've said the same thing many times. The Kuban map is the best that the series has done so far and the map team did an absolutely brilliant job of putting their very best forward.

It makes me excited for the future!

The kuban map is wonderful and I often fly it for the sightseeing alone.

Judging by it, the next maps (bodenplatte and the FC map) promise a lot!

I'm hoping that with the advancements they are making, we'll get a improved Moscow map that includes the city.

The Kuban is the nicest looking map that I think I've seen in a flight sim.

Totally agree with both comments, the whole Kuban map, and especially the SE, is a joy to fly in.

I do like the NW section too, but those winding river valleys in the south, and the snow covered mountains, are a pleasure every time.

I fly almost exclusively single player. And the only map I fly is that one. In fact, last time I flown in another map in SP is more than year ago lol, its just a pleasure to fly low level, as others stated

To be fair, all maps are breathtaking. But maybe that's because the first combat sim I  flew was this thingy here ...

... so everything thereafter looks great. I actually remember flying "europear air war" right after flying "1942 PAW" to death, and thinking "oh they've done it this time, there is no topping that!" (edit: specially since in the meantime I played "aces over europe" and "swotl" and it seemed to me a step back, so EAW was so refreshing. It even had articulated ailerons which you could see from internal view.... the revolution that was!).
