ECV56_Palex Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 If you fly CLOD or DCS ww2 planes, you can experience the inertial movement of the pilot's body, more noticeable during the roll maneuvers inside the cockpit. However, in IL-2 GBS, the pilot's head is always fixed with respect to the plane's axis, without any inertial movement. It would be good to include this immersive feature. Check this videos: CLOD (e.g 1:42 ) DCS (e.g 1:11) 1
SharpeXB Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Yeah it’s pretty annoying and overdone in those other sims. Since vision is the only feedback you get in a flight sim, flopping around like a noodle in the cockpit messes with your perception. 1
SCG_motoadve Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 CLOD is a bit overdone, DCS not so much. You do get thrown around and suck into your seat in a real warbird doing Gs (I fly a real one twice or three times a week) a bad roll will have your head touching the canopy and to the side, it will throw your aim for sure in a dogfight. Fixed head is not so realistic, I would like this effect added if done right, better under done than overdone. 1
