Hoots Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 I’ve just got the g29. All good so far, nice weight to the feel and the pedals are better than I thought they might be. 1

Trooper117 Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 lol... careful mate, the fun police might sneak up behind you!
Dutch2 Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 (edited) Well I must admit I’m hooked to AC in VR right now, maybe if FC will be released I’m going back, but so much AC mods can be downloaded and so much DIY hardware application can be used, like I’m in a candy store. The whole BoX modding is very low, because it is restricted, in AC everything is more open while this game does also have mp. So what is the problem using these restrictions in BoX, is 1c afraid of hacking in mp? Next project for AC; the wind generator based on an Arduino and an working FFB bass shaker, would be nice if we could use that also in FC. Edited June 20, 2019 by Dutch2
Dutch2 Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 (edited) Left/right Chair shaker is now working, next will be the wind simulator as the VR headset becomes very hot when driving. Rfactor2 is now in Steamsale €15,- and the VR is even better integrated then in AC where you always have to take off your VR headset to select your car/track/going to startfield. ? About graphics in VR there is no real difference between AC or rF2. Both games have tons of nice mods, apps or add-ons. Do not get fooled by the badmade demo on Steam, that is obsolute and can not handle VR. Another intresting point is that my system can handle both rF2 and AC very easy at stock speed for Vcard & CPU, while in BoX it had to overclocked. Still think 1C has to do little work on that VR aspect. Edited July 7, 2019 by Dutch2 1
Hoots Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 Have got quite hooked on AC with VR, what does rfactor offer over AC? Although for 13 quid it seems like I’ll be getting it anyway.

Dutch2 Posted July 15, 2019 Posted July 15, 2019 For all the racers that are "driving" Assetto Corsa, here is a nice collection of lots of mods that can be found on the internet: https://assettoland.wixsite.com/assettoland/cars-1 Over a couple of weeks I'm going to build me a new VR PC, based on the Intel 9600KF , Noctua D15, Gigabyte Z390 and 16Gb Skill 3200mHz RAM. Because my son needs something better so my old i7-7700k 5,1Ghz system will be swapped in his PC-case.
