Rejected Il-4 for Battle of Moscow?

After watching one of my favorite YouTubers talking about some leaked aircraft for Warthunder recently by somebody that apparently has worked on some of the aircraft models for Il-2, I happened to find his Deviantart profile and I found these. One of them was titled "retired Il-4 cockpit for Il-2 Battle of Moscow".

Unless I'm mistaken, it looked like we almost got the Il-4 for the Battle of Moscow expansion but was rejected in favor of another Pe-2 version.
Really breaks my heart if this is the case. I would have much rather have preferred the Il-4 over another Pe-2.

Heres a link to this guys Deviantart account if you want to see for yourself. This guy has apparently done 3D models for Warthunder, DCS and the Il-2 series.

Again I could be mistaken. But if I'm not, I'd love to see this maybe pulled out of mothballs and maybe released as a collector plane someday.

wasnt that the follow up to Cliffs of Dover? Those shots have been out for a while. Notice the DCS 262 been out a while and we still get next to no word from ED. Those 262 shots were from way back when RRG were a partner of ED.

This person never worked for us. It Is not our model. This was made by someone way back when Albert ran the team and he had his reasons for not pursuing it. This was an individuals “wish” to have it included in BOM, but that was it.
