Ok so is there a way to disable the kill message. Otherwise claiming kills seems redundant or silly.  If I know for a fact I killed a plane even though I cant see it because the game whats to stop me from claiming it?

Theres no way to see friendly missions flight plans right? Itd nice..

Can someone point me.to an exhaustive guide(ill keep looking)

I really want help for a good frame rate but to understand the adcanced settings so theres a good amount of stuff going on.

Is there a way to modify PWGC so for example I could fly a 109 G6 earlier than it allows?

Which kill messages do you mean? The ones in the log during flight, or the ones in the after-mission map view?

Ultimately there's nothing to stop you claiming kills you didn't see, or in fact your team-mates' kills - it comes down to how you want to play. Some people will claim what the game reports at the end, while some only claim what they saw go down, it's purely personal preference.

If you want the G6 to pop up earlier, you can edit the plane data files in BoSData/Input/Aircraft, and change the introduction date

Simple setting should get you the performance that you want.  I tend to use low air and medium ground.

As Murleen points out you can edit the configs, but that can be problematic.  First, you have to make sure that you do not mess up the format (JSON) or PWCG will not work.  Second, they will be overwritten on every update.  Third, I cannot support an install with edited configs.  So, you can do it, but it is at your own risk (which is not all that much of a risk as you can blow away PWCG and reinstall it in about 2 minutes).

I like the idea of seeing friendly flights.

There is no connection between the in game kill message and PWCG.  PWCG operates off of the logs, which, unfortunately, do not necessarily correspond to in game messages.  Because of this there is quite a bit of code in PWCG to make up for gaps in the logs.  Many crashed planes are not assigned a victor, so PWCG has to use some interesting fuzzy logic to make a best guess.  Because of the log inaccuracies PWCG trusts the player.  Hey, it's single player, if you want to steal victories you're not hurting anyone :) .  Many players go the opposite route, declaring only planes that they see crash and not smokers that crash much later.

Actually the possibility to overclaim is a very realistic touch - as far as I know all air forces in WWII severly overclaimed.

Ah thank you. So thats how I can make a plane show up earlier if I want. Thank you.

See I wasnt sure if I could disable the hard game beep and message or if I mis'id and it didnt land in friendly lines it would be denied. Oh well. I see what you mean. I just saw a claim denied screen before

The beep and kill message in game can be disabled - I think it's something like "kill messages" under game settings
