i have still few months before they anounce whats next of beliving it is still Midway, no one can take that away  hope the guy gets part 2 before that

The documentar is VERY good! I saw also the other battles..

By the way, I believe a new Midway Movie is in the making...

Might not be Midway but I have no reason to believe that plans for a PTO release have changed at this juncture.

Switching gears from the announcement (which is still valid and up on the front page) isn't as simple as some of you might think...doesn't mean it can't happen though.

 

As much as I love the Jug and the coming plane set, and the whole BoBp thing, it will take PTO to keep me interested long term.

I'm starting to fight sliding into a burn-out cycle...which is problematic for me for a few reasons.

I need PTO.

I reached that stage early last year.  I’m definitely ready for a generational advancement in scope of gameplay.

I've been through this cycle a number of times over the years.

Burning over a thousand hours in the editor hasn't helped this time around.

I need to take a few weeks off completely and focus on other things so that I can gather myself and tackle another campaign build.

Last I heard,   Jason very much wants to do a PTO expansion next but is just having trouble getting the IJN aircraft data needed.   I have not seen any fresh announcements saying that it has proved impossible so they are dropping the idea and have chosen another theatre.     Furthermore,  if they do go ahead with a PTO expansion I am sure they said that if they call it 'Battle Of Midway' it would not mean it is specifically about Midway.  It is just a title that would catch peoples attention better than 'Battle Of The Pacific' etc.   

Personally I love carrier warfare despite sucking big time at landing on decks ?  and despite being a loyal Brit when most of the Pacific battle was a US show.    Really, if Jason does not want to tread on the toes of Team Fusion by doing BoB or North Africa and can't build Japanese aircraft then it does not leave much apart from the Mediterranean and Italy & Greece so I still might get to see carriers...and British ones at that!

I like the style of thouse videos, his other videos are good also.

Thanks for info, didnt know about new movie in making,i go search about it on net and it seams its out november 2019 (perfect for anouncment of Midway DLC  )

I tought oh november realise date they are going for oscars, but then i saw emerich is director and my expectations for movie to be any good are broken...his last few movies were crapy as heck

Have to say, that video was excellent... it clearly illustrates the pressures, time constraints and pure bad luck the Japanese were facing.

Anyone who is not sure what and why Midway came about should watch it... looking forward to the next one!

It do help taking a brake. I slowly remember the good things about this and forgetting the frustrating things. 

But I wont buy another thing here except PTO. 

I have no doubt that 777 wants to do it. I simply believe they found it to expensive and wont pay off. Or impossible with current game engine. 

Whatever reason they do not wish to publish it.
