Since good old IL2:1946 can handle easily high resolution textures (2048x2048) like these...

I agree, and posting links to a random texture website and Google search results doesn't really do anything to help the team.

   Yes, BOS have great textures, but sometimes that sites can be a good help not only another snow textures, but any kind and all ready and free, just who is working will can say if is or not be usefull.

That isn't a random google search, what make you say that? That is the author of those textures. And if you fly with these textures you will see that are as good and maybe better than in BOS. The ground objects and building is also better in old IL 2. 

But the game engine, shadows, physics and light are far better in BOS compared to old IL2

Yes it is. The hint is right there in the domain name, it says "google.com.br"

 

And textures aren't just found on the internet and thrown in the texture map, many different textures come together to form the texture map and all of them have to be aligned seamlessly. Just grabbing textures off some random search will require more work to go and get them incorporated. Besides, the textures in BoS are great to represent the timeframe BoS covers. A texture of a grass blades sticking out through about a quarter inch of frost isn't representative of BoS, not to mention it would look ridiculous to see grass blades that scale to be approximately the length of a 20ft tree trunk.
