That's not competition. That's an alternative like Wings of Prey was to the old Il-2 series.

It's not competition, it's an arcade game not a simulator.

In fairness the developers know it's place in the market, it's not trying to compete with BOS or DCS.

It's quite different (arcade) world.

But it may be good (together with War Thunder) to attract some players to more serious titles - when/if they get bored with mouse-aim.

Screenshots ARE ALWAYS photoshoped excepted when they're from the review sites.

That's probably because they did use the BigWorld engine for World of Warplanes. If you really want to see why no-one considers it competition, download it and try it out.

Probably some screens are pre-rendered assets and others are from the game.

Got into the beta for it (as I did for War Thunder) bloody rubbish IMHO. Laggy in Aus as well as all about health bars. Not good at all. Even War Thunder is superior (and to my mind that's been going down hill since the beta, guys who used joysticks in arcade (at that point the only option available) actually stood a chance, now there's no competition with the mouse users)
