I don't know if you know this, however this guy deserves a little publicity.

Currently it's a free download so you can try it if you want. It's a universe generator. It captures very well the endless nature of the universe.

It's not a game (yet). So yes, you move your camera at incredible (and impossible) speeds to get from A to B.

 

Most bodies are procedural, so you can go inside the sombrero galaxy and find billions of stars most of them with planets. There are real bodies (ones that we know of) but most of them are generated on the fly. You can also land on planets. The solar system is not the same however, the planets are mostly made from real photos so their surfaces are blurry.
