What happened to the rest of my MK IX?

On the runway at Kuban, I pressed F12 to centre the TrackIR, and most of the plane suddenly disappeared!

All I had left was the top engine cowl panel, the exhaust stacks, and the spinner? Edit:  Oh yes, and the prop. Engine was still running, with exhaust and flames emitting, though the screenshot didn't capture this.

Cancelled the mission and restarted, was able to take off with intact plane.

F12 activates the free external camera.

 

So you should either unbind F12 in BoX or use a different key to reset TrackIR.

Thanks Matt, that might explain it, though I've been using TrackIR for a week or more now and centering it using F12 before each mission,

with no disappearing act.

I've been intending to assign track centering to a throttle key anyway, so I'll do that before my next flight. 

After canceling that mission, I then wished I hadn't. With engine still running, I may have been able to take off and fly it like that!

It would have been a bit of a Wonder Woman experience, and may just have reduced the chances of being shot down by AA while rocketing

a sub or a freighter.

Landing would have been a bit easier too!

You can move it around anywhere you want - useful for people making movies, mostly, or just exploring the map.
