A_radek Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 If one replaces the word 'Ecosystem' in that article with 'walled garden', it all makes sense.
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Yeah. Sounds like a lot of excuses on Oculus' side. Well, they are trying to penetrate the market. It's probably the best strategy, to be honest. But for us enthusiasts - not so much.
dburne Posted April 23, 2019 Author Posted April 23, 2019 One thing I can say, my Rift CV1 has been rock solid for me ever since getting it on Jan 15th 2017. The thing just works, and works great, every time I put it on. Tracking also, always been solid as rock and I never have to fluff about with the sensors. And I am talking pretty much daily use. I just hope the next headset I get is just as reliable, whichever one I choose to go with.

Fortunately German consumer laws protected me and ensured replacements. None of it ever fell down or was damaged by shock. The first simply stopped working all of a sudden. The second simply went one-eyed pirate a year into use. It led me to believe that I will want to avoid Oculus in the future due to their bad build quality (perceived on my end).
