RIFT Failure Since Last Patch

Hi all,

 

since the last update my RIFT has lost all visual with Il-2. The audio works and DCS is fine so am at a bit of a loss.

 

Before I reinstall everything, does anyone have any solutions?

 

Am also getting 'Another instance of the launcher is already running', though it does not appear in Task Manager.

Try deleting the startup.cfg file.

 

What are you using to launch the game?

Thanks for your reply. Tried both launcher and the basic exe in the directory.

It's in the games main directory, go into the data folder, you'll find the startup.cfg file in there, delete it. Fire up the game and see if it works.

No difference; I get the sound but RIFT just sits there displaying it's usualy irrelevant start-up adverts for crap games.

 

Meanwhile DCS works as normal.

Just in case anyone has similar issues, it was a Steam VR problem resolved by reinstalling the Steam programme.
