The Russian forum spent this week arguing and having update issues so we'll skip that and list a couple of points only ...

 

  • QMB very probably in March
  • Details on Multiplayer in next diary (56). First large scale test likely 14 March.
  • Remember to cock the gun with the reload key before you fire the Stuka rear MG's

Thanks a lot for the info. Any news on the estimated time of arrival for the Yak-1? I originally thought the  the Pe-2 would come before  the Yak-1, but the Yak-1 may be further along than I originally thought. It would be a nice ride to have for multiplayer, since the LaGG-3 and Il2 can really use a fighter escort.  :)

Ju 87 rudder is trimmed 3 degrees to right (as historically). (Gavrick).

Thats interesting, I thought it was a pretty accurate statement.  Of course, that is HIGHLY subjective.  Hence the argument.  Curious, were the arguments based on there being a different "Symbol of Blitzkrieg"?  or just the whole idea of Blitzkrieg being Politically incorrect?  Feel free to PM me as this is WAY OT.

I don't really forget those things, but I do tend to leave the cockpit open because I'm so used to using the sound of the airflow to estimate my airspeed.

Will probably spend my life on QMB doing slightly one sided shoot up's, so good to hear this is coming.

Not bothered particularly which order aircraft come in, when of this quality, it's worth the wait.

There was a request for more German Transport aircraft including the giant 380, I'd like that or the me323 but I'll take what comes, greatfully.

If I interpret Google translate correctly, they hooked up the BoS AI to a small RC model airplane and it flew quite well. :fly:

Yeah, it did great. We'll try to make a video with some RC model this spring.

Next step: let the AI fly a real plane carrying the BoS developers (Albert in the front seat). That would be a convincing way to show confidence in your own programming.  ;-)

I don't want to cause a problem, and I've looked all through the FAQ's, but I'm curious why with what we've already dl'd onto our own machines it needs to have server access to run?

 

I need all the practice I can get and won't be doing any multi player for quite a while. If ever because I've got so far to catch up. :)

 

And like somebody mentioned already weekends I don't have that much time because I've got too many things I have to do. Just curious.

Hi Zak,

 

Is there any word on Forcefeedback being fixed for this Friday. I was very surprised that there was no response from you on all the posts about no FFB in latest update. You are usually very responsive when there is a technical issue. This time there was not a single word to say that the devs are aware of the problem and that it is being fixed. Also is there any news on SLI support , with more complex missions available now I can see a significant FPS loss. I am hoping that SLI support will fix it.

We're aware of the FFB issue. We'll address it when we know more about what's going on with it. This is still development phase and sometimes things get broken on accident or we experiment with things and they are different for a while. My guess is that FFB was an accident as I have not discussed any changes to it with the team prior.

About SLI, we have the SLI from ROF already, it just a matter of do we want to try anything new with it. There might be ways to improve it, but right now we aren't focused on that.

If you want to enable SLI, you can do so in the startup.cfg. Find the line that says "mgpu_compatible = 0" and change it to "mgpu_compatible = 1" Then make the startup.cfg read only and you're good to go.

I think I've answered this before. Anyway, yes, smth went wrong with FFB last week, and now it should be working, the glitch must have been fixed.
