Lol, thx Gents!:)

Well it took me a couple of years to put it all together and it is still under development. It was all made of airspace grade 7075 T6 aluminium. Every axis is damped by adjustable hydraulic dampers. The control forces are trimmed by cam profiles and adjustable springs. Axis sensors are magnetic resistance types, and they are connected to a leo bodnar board.

If you are interested in how it was made, you can read these topics on simHQ.

MM,

ur a ninja. Wow. great work..

Another MSFF2 user here (+ Saitek pedals and TrackIR5). I also have a Saitek AV8R which I never really got on with. Its quite well endowed with switches and has double throttle levers so I'm think about just using it as a HOTAS (if I can remove the stick).

Incidentely, I see in some pictures in this thread that the joystick has been placed on top of the desk, to the right of the monitor. Is that how fly?

Nice build! Why no FFB? ;)

I have used the CH Fighterstick , CH throttle quadrant and CH peddles for many years. All USB. I wear the stick out in about five years. Play two hours almost every day. Very well satisfied.

That is the next step. I am quite sure I will try to do it, but i am noooooob to electronics.

Is easy remove the "stick" from saitek AV8R, see this inside picture:

Unplug the cable (that go for handle) from PCB, remove 4 screws. Probable you need take the grip appart too.

In the left side of case are space to fit two potetiometers with knob and use as trim, wired in original X and Y cables.

Hi everyone , never posted much before, but saw this thread and I have just got the TM Warthog and what a nice piece of gear it is, the fact that the joystick easily removes from the base allowing easy installation into a better position as you can see in the picture, can't think of anything I don't like about it...

Thanks Sokol. I'll investigate removing the stick but will try to retain the option of reinstating it (just in case my MSFF2 dies). Much as I like the idea of adding pots for trim, I think its beyond my electronic abilities which are in fact zero!

Cheers

Warthog as well. I actually threw away my MSFFB2 after clod was released because they didn't work properly at the time. Wish I hadn't because it worked perfectly for all the years I used it.

Well  after the failure  on  buying the x65f,  ordered a x52Pro that was next best thing  I could find in stores (the Warthog was also avilable but at the price of a small car).

Hope it doe snto  break as easily as my old X45s

Still don't know how good it is since I don't have a real flight sim and War Thunder's joystick controls wobble like crazy. Does the job though and I'll have ROF installed today to better judge it. A little on the light side but it's well enough built for the price. Plenty of buttons to say the least.

Shouldn't. Had one for over a year now and it is still going strong. I never had any problems with the X36 either, other than the rubber gasket around the base deteriorating. One stick lasted 6 years before the springs went, second one lasted another 5 years before both springs went.

You should look up the magnet mod for the X52, it gives a lot more responsiveness to the stick around the center so large movements aren't required to deflect the in-game control surfaces. It's very easy to do.

Sokol...new Aviator still has ackward throttle position (I tried) and very light base made of plastic. However look kinda cool. But tell me....is VKB Mamba light full metal or the grip is plastic with rubberized finish?

Yes the old Aviator is very light too - but have space inside for some "lead wheel balancing".

It's my preferred basic joystick, until come the T.16000M (just for HAL sensor). :)

I use then in center position and throttle position fit perfectly. :)

I dont find information that VKB mamba have metal grip. Since is based in low cost Cobra M-5 probable use the same plastic handle. The base is in aluminum.

VKB work on different grip, more closed to Sukhoi one.

Case need, how and why do this X-52/X-52 PRO "magnet MOD".

Funny , flyign my fw190 in 1946 yesterday with the x52Pro.. what  i felt was opposite that  barely any movment at center already overdeflect the control surfaces. Having to relearn to pilot due to  input differences from x45 to x52 pro.

I wich saitek would  make  throtle and sticks separated so i coudl select the parts i like more.

Well someday I will  visit USA  just to buy a  Thrustmaster hotas.

Can you describe how you rigged up the "platforms" for the stick and throttle? Are they extensions to the desk or...?

Nice by the way, very nice!

Oh, and I have been using my trusty Saitek Cyborg 3D Gold USB for about 5-6 years now. Love it for an "all-in-one" solution.

Wouldn't mind upgrading to the Worthog at some point though.
