With all of the new headsets coming, and the current issues we already have with scale in the different screen sizes; we really need to have the same IPD adjustment option like the one found in DCS.  It’s so easy to fix these issues with something like this.

Preferable if it wasn't an option but just that devices pllayed nice with SteamVR  /OpenVR and visa versa.

For example, was playing with SteamVR console to adjust worldscale due to it being to small on my Pimax 8K with IPD 66.4  - Today with another SteamVR update I am finding that the console input values no longer work but worldscale is at a good size.

It is a matter of development and patience.  VR is still getting a lot of things ironed out but even over the past few months for me - I have seen vast improvement.   Getting to the point where I am comfortable to fly icons off and be able to spot and Id things / aircraft and without zoom.  Got to the point where I am now playing target drone online for folks to shoot me down ??

I think you can set the IPD via a line in the startup.cfg. Sure I've seen it in there.

That is not a true Inter Pupillary Distance setting in DCS.  It does set world scaling size but not by adjust your HMD's IPD.

Yes they should have used a little different name for that feature as it causes some confusion as to what it does.

World scale (ipd dcs adjustment) and ipd setting of the HMD ought to be decoupled, like in DCS. They are 2 different things. I agree we should have a way to adjust world scale as we see fit.

I also think we should have snap views in VR, it's a matter of accessibility and having a game that can be played by anyone, even people with disabilities.

Would scaling should not be adjustable or only to a point where one can get 1 to 1 scaling.

In recent increase scale thread I was happy to increase world scale then because at the time the Pimax 8K and SteamVR was rendering small world scale of around 50 to 60% or full sale.  The issue was rectified fairly quickly (I had posted in both the Pimax forums and SteamVR forums and the fix seemed to be a SteamVR one.  This also adjusted world scale in SteamVR Home and Assetto Corsa.

If there is a world scale slider in Il2 then personally, I would like it locked down in Full Real Settings so people can't try to use large scaling for spotting purposes etc in multiplay.  Everyone gets the same scale (hopefully when their hardware is properly supported which can be the bane of an early adopter / beta tester).

Call it whatever it is, its amazing to finally get the cockpits sized correctly.  I hate flying midget planes in the Vive Pro.  I am fearful of what this new crop of even more varied panel sizes will do to the in-game view.

You can adjust it via lefuneste's 3dmigoto mod. It's non-invasive, so you can use it with mod's off.

It gives us VR players proper zoom, and also has the feature of an IPD modification. You can check my Stickied Thread linked to in my signature. Scroll to the bottom of the first post made by me, the instruction is there.

Post Scriptum: All praise and thanks go to lefuneste.

I don't know about DCS but now I am quite enjoying Il2 when worldscale is correct on the Pimax.  Been flying online and able to, even with render target in PiTool of 0.5 and SteamVR forced at 100% Vid and App, to Id aircraft and make out what is what.  Just been toying with faster frame rates and High Il2 Graphics setting with low Render in PiTool.  Works ok.  Just like ripping the wheels off my desk chair so I can use my rudder pedals without scoot'n backwards all the time. ?

Have noticed that looking side on out the cockpit, view is juddery.  Not sure if that is a SteamVR issue or something else, maybe they borked their smoothing with a recent update.

It's the little things that count.
