40plus Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 One minor piece of behaviour missing from Tank Crew in its current form is object momentum. I've had several instances of a target moving at speed across my line of sight. When I destroy them they just stop dead, instantly. Their moving model is instantaneously replaced with a stationary destroyed model. It would be nice to have a more realistic feel of weight to targets. They could roll to a stop and include better destruction animations. Such things aren't necessary in a flight sim engine given the distance to target and relative speed of each party but when piloting a tank it's noticeable. Is something like this on the road-map? 5
SCG_Neun Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 It's a great suggestion, but in the triage of needs, it doesn't rate just yet.....

Torrens Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 (edited) Another thing I hope in the future is destroyed tanks don't dissappear anymore. They should stay where they met their demise smoking/burning untill the end of the round. I hope they also add some variety to different type of damage the tanks can receive. For example driver gets killed but the gear/transmission doesn't get damaged and the dead tank slowly moves forward with the gear it had going while slowly catching on fire. Didn't the T-34 accelerator pedal work in the opposite way that you would think. In that you pushed the pedal down to slow the tank. I read that when the driver was killed the tank would go at full speed as his foot would usually come off the pedal? Anybody confirm with a proper reference? Edited April 22, 2019 by Haza
Torrens Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 I believe you are correct and that scenario would be quite specific for T34 and perhaps not so much for other tanks. I think it might have been possible for M4's as well.
