Two hours ago I tried starting GB only to find when i hit "start Mission ' I got the two VR screens going completely black & freezing that way.Re-booting PC didn't help so now i am going through "verifying Local files" with my fingers crossed.this is the first time anything like this has happened in the whole time I've played...does anyone have any ideas? Help needed!?

Yes .You are correct.  Verifying local files didn’t solve the problem. It did work ( but it took longer than usual to load,) in non VR mode. Have dropped a help/support request to both Oculus & IL2 Great battles support. Steam merely directs me to Il-2GB support.

Do you have an idea of what’s going on?

BTW; Other games do appear to be up & running. Great Battles appears to be the only one affected.

Not sure, I had the game start crashing on me the other night in VR and deleting that file fixed it. Something gets bugged in it or something who knows.

I think I found the culprit: In Great Battles there are Mods that can be added through the JSGME utility and i think the last one I added did a job on the startup.I went back to default settings & everything worked fine, then I added the mods I knew had worked perfectly well before , avoiding the unnecessary or suspicious and everything ( for now) came up & running.I had a bit of a bother getting out of the Oculus home page as mentioned before but eventually succeeded there as well.Keep fingers crossed ...
