Sublime Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Is it anti aliasing? Or..? Running at highest resolution. Mostly highest settings. Using an Nvidia card. I can give specs if anyone wants but what generally causes the jagged edges issue especially around clouds? Anti aliasing?
dburne Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 (edited) Typically anti aliasing helps that. Be aware though with current cloud technology you will see aliasing around the cloud edges at times especially if lower than High setting. Edited April 11, 2019 by dburne
Sublime Posted April 12, 2019 Author Posted April 12, 2019 Its odd though. The steam version is exactly the same but Im missing some.thing since the reinstall. The graphics look.. Worse. Theres some noticeably jagged edges on planes especially lower than me that never were there before that frankly look like 2006 era stuff. I gotta fix it, its driving me insane now
Mitthrawnuruodo Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 Do you have the resolution set to your native screen resolution and antialiasing set to 4x?
kissklas Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 Did you set dynamic resolution to anything else than 1?
Velxra Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 I have noticed that planes will look nearly blurred and jagged if crossing into cloud in my game. I have no idea if everyone has this problem but it solely happens when planes are near the clouds.

It´s a major drawback and a shame for a company who called their product a "hight quality flight sim". IIRC one of the dev´s already sad thad this issue will probably never been fixed due to amount of work, small team, etc...etc.. The "priority list" thing..you know.

The usual excuses for not fixing long standing issues and how it will take away from progression of new planes. Very unfortunate to hear sadly.

It just appears to turn off anti-aliasing when in cloud as the plane's edges become very pixelated. Same Distance both inside and outside of cloud clover. Inside Outside If I were to take screenshots with black plane silhouettes caused by the game render engine at distance. This problem would look far more apparent with the pixelation effect. Too me, it looks like anti-aliasing just does not work in cloud cover thus edges are very jagged in clouds. Perhaps a LOD issue. 1
