Installing from 1c site to replace steam version

So I needed to replace my steam version due to account issues. No problem. So Im currently downloading the game using the client installer. At the most glacial pace of all time. What I dont understand is Im now at 12.10gb/11.17.  Wtf?  Is this an endless download? Lol how can I be a gig above the cap? Exactly how big is the game?! The steam version was 4.5 gigs??
