Note: the offset I use is -15mm (-0.015 is actually the offset value in meters). Of course you can use a positive offset if you prefer a smaller world scale. I have an Oculus Rift and this is what feels right for me. For some reason the ingame IPD adjustment (LShift + and LShift Enter keys) has never worked for me. I see the numbers changing on the screen but the world scale doesn't change
VR-DriftaholiC Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 I gotta say, get your IPD measured measured, I tried many times to measure at home and with various apps and got 66-67mm. Optometrist measured 64.5mm. Easy to mess this up yourself. Scale is on point for me.

Scale might be right as it is, however I'm a large man, and watching the 66 IPD cockpit of a 109, it seems I could reach the rudder pedals with my hands, and the sides of the cockpit would cut right into my shoulders. If I there's a way to simulate being a small undernourished fighter pilot grown up in the 30s, i'm gonna use it ? Edited May 24, 2020 by Nibbio
9./JG27DefaultFace Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 So if Im understanding correctly theres no way to do this with opencomposite atm? The german aircraft look cartoonishly small for me at the standard scale. Rudder pedals are about where my knees are IRL.

Tried the in game adjustment?

I understood there wasn't one? I haven't found it if its in the graphics options. And the OR_IPD in the startup.cfg gets reset everytime/is read out of steamvr anyway. Tried read only but didnt seem to do anything.
-332FG-Buddy Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 I have had to u cockpit effect and I have an odyssey plus....I feel like I've tried everything and nothing fixed it. Startup.cfg doesn't work I've tried the in-game it doesn't work I've tried steam VR it doesn't work The only thing that made my cockpit look normal in size was 3d migoto, and now that that's gone I just have tiny cockpit. In DCS I can actually change the IPD fully and make the cockpit look normal size within the headset IL2 does have an IPD adjustment but it only goes positive and negative 30 and that's not enough
dburne Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 (edited) It is listed under the Service tab down at the bottom. Lshft + numpad Add = increase IPD Lshft + numpad Enter = decrease IPD I guess maybe can assign to buttons as well. Edited June 5, 2020 by dburne 1 1

If anyone can assist it would be greatly appreciated. 1
[CPT]Crunch Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 (edited) For an odyssey use the pipper projection in the gun sight, if you can get it to overlap and appear as one uniform image with both eyes you can go the distance without suffering bad eye strain. Not all aircraft seem to scale exactly the same, you may have to correct when changing types. For me looking outside the pit at longer distances doesn't seem to be much of a problem. The one thing you can't do with an odyssey is use one universal number, they aren't built with that kind of uniformity, every set has it's own specific numbers. Edited June 8, 2020 by [CPT]Crunch 1
