Curiosity thread. Tank busters lovers, welcome 

 

Vote and say something about your choice. It can be for the number of tanks you can destroy, or because it's easy to aim with, or because of speed... Anything. But the agressive look is not an argument (otherwise we know the Stuka with dual 37mm will win ). If you chose Ju88, precise the loadout you would take. 

 

You can also share your technics to be efficient against tanks (where do you aim, attack path angle, convergence,...).

Surprised i'm the only one that voted for the Bf 110 G-2 with the 37mm so far.

With it's 66 rounds it can kill the highest number of tanks in a single sortie than the other tank busters, it's a bit tricky to get used to the higher speed compared to the Ju 87 and Hs 129 but the centerline cannon compensates for it.

Other planes we don't have ingame that would rival it would be the Me 410 with twin 30mm MK 103, or 50mm. And the Ju 88P with twin nose mounted 37mm or a single 50mm or single 75mm.

I use half power with about 25% of flaps not to rush on the target like a rocket. 

Yes you could kill ~16 T34 in one flight with it (66/4) if you aim perfectly at every shots. But it's a looooooooot of time spent over the target (like between 10 and 15min). However you have some speed to run away or you can even try to fight with your opponent (110 got some not so bad dogfight capabilities). 

 

I voted Hs129 because it's quite easy to aim (btw I often put almost all flaps down which give you time and stability for aiming), and you can destroy 6 to 8 T34 in one flight. 

 

However I often take the Stuka G for the agressive style... It's harder to aim and the 24 rounds are fastly gone. But at least you don't stay long over the target (which give you a chance to rtb on populated servers).

 

Ju88 also has some fantastic capabilities with this bombload: 6 SC250 and 28 SC50 (drop by group of 4 with 0.1 or 0.25 interval).

Because I mastered only Ju 87 until I vote. But she used to destroy tanks pretty well with bombs.
