Fw190D9 official 4k Skins historically corrected (faulty links fixed 30/06/2022)

I´m having problems dling fw190d9_skin_04. Mediafire says it has to generate a new download key but it seems to end in a loop getting back to generating a new key again and again! Been so for 2 days now. All the others came down without a hitch! The URL header for the file reads "http://www.mediafire.com/download_repair.php?qkey=hlykocmyn8c2n6e&origin=server_error&template=unselected"

And yeah the 04 skin has a broken link.

Well Translation of the meaning of the phrase would be "I knew there was a catch somewhere"

Literal Translation would be "I knew that there is a Hook somewhere on the thing." 

 

Also literal Translation of the Swastika would be a Hook Cross or how he shortened it Hook.

 

So we have " I knew there was a Swastika somewhere on the thing."

Just tested the link to fw190d9_skin_04 and all seems to be fine for me, so can you give it another go?

I tried downloading it earlier today and it was fine, must have fixed itself.

Got it now, mediafire must have been flamed out!

Question: I don't use mods and I followed the directions of putting the default skin in the texture folder and the rest in the skins folder

However, the aircraft are not recognized in the game not do the custom ones overwrite the default (non swastika) versions.

 

Any help would be great.

Make sure you have Mods activated ticked in the settings, this allows the new skins to override the game defaults.

 

As replacement skins as are other textures are technically classed as a mod, but not in the same sense as they where in Il2-46, so do not be concerned about ticking that box. You will get a banner reminding you that Mods are activated each time on start up, which you will need to acknowledge to proceed, which is a tad annoying but the end just a minor inconvenience, I'm an off liner but I understand that the MP server must also have mods activated to see them online, but someone else may need to elaborate further as far as that is concerned.

Opps it was write on the skin but not in the description, was way past my bed time when I originally posted, intro text has now been fixed.
