WWI Flight School?

I am, you've guessed, very new to FC. Every one of my flights lasts about 10 minutes and ends with my engine shutting off (chat dialogue says something about engine damage?) and some version of "landing." Is there an instruction manual or perhaps a tutorial on how to fly WWI planes?

 

Someone in an online session tonight chatted at me "Open your radiator." I looked in key binding and saw binds for oil radiator and water radiator. Futzing around with both accomplished nothing.

depends on plane , some have fuel mixture only dr1 , camel, pfalz has water radiator only, spad not sure, dolphin has mixture and water radiator, i think so does the d7

mixture use 84% as baseline.

Make sure you read the specs tab on the briefing page before starting the mission. That will tell you the engine limits and operation for the specific plane you've selected.

Check out excellent tutorials by Requiem, mate! When I first started in Rise of Flight (this sim's predecessor), his videos were a lifesaver for me.
