Rattlesnake Posted April 2, 2019 Posted April 2, 2019 Or is that just me? Feels like it has a touch more control authority. And a little more pickup, like it gained a little DNA from the Spad7 (big engine version) from RoF. Kind of gives one hope that some planes from RoF that seemed a touch under their historical reps (like the Nieuports) will pick up a bit on FC.
BMA_West Posted April 2, 2019 Posted April 2, 2019 (edited) Definitely as goes for all new FC planes so looking out for the Se5. There sure is hope now for the N28 to come may we hope soon, like as collector one; Edited April 2, 2019 by West
US103_Baer Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 (edited) Except when you point the nose up, try to turn, or generally do anything that isn't a shallow dive. Imho, in those cases it loses energy quicker than RoF and doesn't gain it back as fast either. Edited April 3, 2019 by US103_Baer

Sounds like an adjustment that *might* prove true across the board, including for things it has to fight. If so all will be well.

Zoom and acceleration are key to fighting and surviving in a Spad. And have you seen the d7's new prop-hang capability? Still, I know us Spad drivers will figure it out. It'll just take some adjustment to tactics I suppose. 1

Spent the evening having several training fights with a good fellow in a DR1 and the ability to hang on the prop and kill a zoomer at 200+ seems less severe than it was in the previous game. Also didn’t have too much trouble extending it seems. Edited April 4, 2019 by Rattlesnake

Guest deleted@92804 Posted April 4, 2019 Posted April 4, 2019 I didn`t fly Spad a lot but yes, it feels different in FC. And it is not as good in zoom as in RoF, maybe it is just feeling. I didn`t investigate it and didn`t compare speed.
