Mission Report Text Files Being Written to C Drive

A short while ago, I noticed more than a thousand text files within the game's data folder (see attached screen capture).  The files are entitled, "missionReport (YYYY-MM-DD_HH-SS)[X]" where X equals a sequence number.  The file contents vary and appear to contain data points captured while the player is flying a mission.  The files appear to be benign and can be deleted from the file without ill effect to the game.  I periodically delete the files to prevent saturation of the data folder.  The provided screen capture was made after deleting existing mission reports and flying a six minute mission using the sim's Quick Flight function.

 

Does anyone know why the reports are being generated and how to prevent it?  As far as I can tell the files do not self-delete nor overwrite themselves.

in my case, it was wrote missionReport itself to data folder

start from 2019-12-5 . so far , there are 12000+ files , and I just deleted all of these.

It is comforting to know that it is not just me who has this issue.  I am hoping someone who reads these posts call tell us why it is happening and how to stop it.

To sto them from generating go in your main game folder, open data folder and open with text program file named startup.cfg and then locate mission_text_log  and make it = 0
