New Joystick maybe Virpil ????

I have the Microsoft FFB2  Forced feedback one ..... wether im happy or not Im not sure 

I get some kills , but My problem is that I have problem with direct point where I want to , when I try to shoot another plane down ...

It can be becourse , im in my stress ( and wanna kill mode ) move my joystick to much and uncontrollable  ....BUt 

I made the change with my pedal to MFG Crosswind  ...... and that was really possitive  .....SO .....

 

Would it be a really change to go from  FFb2 ...to VIrpil   ???????           ( or do it more become to education of the pilot in the plane  )

IMHO - With a "high end" stick - contactless sensor, doubled or tripled resolution (relative to MS FFB2), metal gimbal with bearing... your aim can improve surprisingly.

Your aim will be better with almost any non FFb Stick.

You want Sim with FFB, deal with it that it is more difficult to aim and fly hard g maneuver, cause your stick reacts.

Or think about an extension. I fly the MS FFB2 with a 25cm extension and stronger potentiometer, it is more precise but of course when shooting and maneuvering the stick rumble and moves. Its a sim.

Or get yourself simffb and reduce the strengt and damper effects to your liking.

Anyway if I were you, I keep the FFB, its just more fun even if it is harder.

Tank You both - I'm not sure what I'll do yet - except train the pilot more ( he all ready have so many hours he's in Korea war ? ) 

Buy the virpil will take maybe 3 month ....

And an extension - how do that and is it easy ?.                ?.

Get the (relatively) affordable* VKB Gladiator (standard) for evaluate better the difference of a non FFB stick.

If like can sell Gladiator and buy a Gunfighter or VPC T50, WarBRD.

VKB Gunfighter Pro mk2 with extension is an awesome stick (if you can get hold of it).

After I built a simpit and made an extension for my G940 my gunnery improved ten-fold, it makes a huge difference moving the stick with your arm instead of your wrist.

I have the original Gunfighter Pro Mk 1 with extension and it is an absolutely awesome stick!

I upgraded to a Virpil Mongoos T50 from a MSFFB2 last year and what a difference.  It really did improve my gunnery dramatically but also my whole sim experience.   Ergonomics of handgrip are amazing.  It’s my favorite piece of kit.  

 

I use a monster extended desk mount and a 150 cm extension and have it center mounted at lap height.   Center is better than side for me, having tried both a lot.  

 

Nothing on the hardware side was hard to install.   Just don’t be a caveman with the connector plugs, they look breakable.  

 

Took month of checking tracking 27 times per day to get it.  (At least it wasn’t back ordered forever like VKB.)

From MSFFB2  to the Virpil   Mongoos T50 (10 cm extension ,center mount  with VPC mount)- buy it is good decision. I have 3 working MSFFB2 to sell ?

Now I even prefer Virpil  in Rise Of Flight to MSFFB2
