Please! Give us human crew bombardiers.

My mind is somewhat blown that this is not already a feature, to have a human crew buddy given the ability to operate the bombardier's position as well as the gun stations. I found a thread from 2015 in which a lot of guys asked for it and a dev answered, so the desire has been known about for four years. Is there something difficult about coding it?

Pretty sure the Bomb-sight is hardcoded as part of the Pilot's position - a special view or something like that, and the game is coded to have only one pilot per craft, with gunners positions as optional. This is probably because the way that the bombsight functions in-game is that control of the aircraft is transferred from the pilots controls to the controls on the bombsight, so having a pilot and bombardier in the same craft would be redundant...during the bomb run the pilot would have nothing to do, and outside of the bomb run the bombardier has nothing to do.

More complex modeling where the bombardier and the pilot have to coordinate as was often the case in real-life bombers would probably entail a lot of work.
