6./ZG26_Gielow Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Is it possible to Devs unlock video editing during the week ?? So we can log to the game and use video tools to create our IL2 weekend warrior videos?? You can keep flying locked until you are ready for 24/7 flying.

It's not just allowing not flying, it's disallowing the entire software from running. To change that requires reprogramming. Yeah, it's up to the developers to totally rewrite it and delay unlimited access. Not going to happen, not negative. 2

People would love to work on their tracks. It would be also free publicity. There are great video makers around and it would be fun working on them during the week.

There must be some point during the weekend that you're not actually playing, right? Sure, you might not get all the camera angles you want, but you have something to work with until next weekend. If this shutdown during the week means a better quality product for all of us, then that's something I suspect most people can deal with. 3

Just plan ahead on what you want to do, storyboard something during the week and then implement that by flying it on the weekend and recording it. Don't just record tracks and hope they will work the next week... I've made that mistake a couple of times, so record your track then record the footage afterwards. 2

But it is really boring to wait a week to change something because you had a better idea after server shutdown It kills creativity. Rules: 6. Redesign the front end so that the record playback section is different from the actually playing section, hold development up for a two or so weeks to accomplish this - maybe longer because it might require totally separate exes to accomplish this. Wait five months for Gielow to understand the previous sentence. BoS is released three months behind target, Gielow still hasn't a clue what was required to allow the playback of tracks. He's still convinced he was bullied because individuals told him straight up his "outside the box" was additional workload that delayed unlimited access for everyone that wanted it.
