Why so many locked topics?

I did a search for when the availability limit was going to be removed (was here for the translation error) and I saw more topics were locked about various other subjects than not.

Kinda makes one feel unwelcome...

Topics are locked if they're duplicated or if the discussion has ran it's course or devolved into mudslinging.

This is the correct answer.
