Geoweb35 Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 (edited) Hi, i have a question, can you implement in this game the possibility to look through the commander, driver, gunner sights/triplex or to fast change between the sights/triplex? - for example, if i am in commander seat when i press "insert, home, page up, delete, end, page down" the sights appears like in my attached pictures but with more zoom, this way i do not have to press F2 (external camera) to search for enemy tanks or to use the commander outside the tank, Tank Crew becomes more realistic with this feature in my opinion. RIVALDO Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 You can open your hatch and look around that way. There are no external views on MP servers.Jus saying.
oilman Posted April 2, 2019 Posted April 2, 2019 I'm curious about this too. I can look around the T34 in the driver seat. But in the gunner/commander position I have a choice of gunsite or open hatch view. Open hatch I can use T to disconnect from gun control and look around. But it would be handy to have a periscope or something eventually. Traversing the turret to look around (in a realistic fashion) to look around is a little slow.

If i open the hatch in the middle of battle the bullets can hit my crew ? On 3/25/2019 at 7:00 PM, thenorm said: Can't you set up snap views for this? They stated (if I remember right with the original announcement of Tank Crew) that after the release of tank crew, the T-34 mod 42 STZ and Panzer III Ausf. L would both be upgraded to the same level of quality as the tank crew tanks free of charge for everyone.

oilman Posted April 4, 2019 Posted April 4, 2019 After puttering about for a few days I'm getting a slight feel for whats available for the T34 bundled with BoS. I just thought (After watching some youtube videos) there was a little more functionality with these "demo" tanks. But perhaps perhaps that extra stuff is TC tanks available in Multiplayer. I did not realize TC was not fully available yet. Still pretty fun. I tried mapping the driver controls to my rudder pedals. A little more functional than the WASD keys. As to the tanks all in all a good job so far!

migmadmarine Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Thought I have had about the interiors for the Panzer III L and T-34 mod. 42 STZ: the interior on the Ausf L should be similar enough to the Ausf M that I would (uneducatedly) guess it would be comparatively simple to do, as not much in the way of new assets would be needed. As for the T-34, why not make a T-34 mod 42 from 112 factory to sell, so you would make some money off it, and in turn be able to use many of those assets for the STZ version interior. Don't know if there would be much about the interiors that would be different in terms of equipment placement, and structurally should be just the cut turret cheeks on the STZ that is all that different.
JGr2/J5_Baeumer Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 With regards to the original question, yes you can map views to various slits....you can even have the view zoomed in automatic... your hat switch is a natural place to map.these views....the game seems to remember different views for different crew positios too.... Just press F9 and then using mouse and the page up down insert home etc keys get the view right while holding your desired hat switch position and when you like it press F10 to save and go on to next view . It's worth the time to do ....you might need to make slight adjustments depending on terrain .....also set your commanders neutral (5 on keypad ) position so you can look around and manually zoom in on the slits in the cupola.
stormridersp Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 This is how it should be. With the addition of Oculus Touch or Vive controls support to work as a "hotas" + mouse pointer, one could manage the tank easily. The difficult part would be when the hierarchy is implemented and one controls a full platoon of tanks, or maybe even a tank company. I'd suggest a UI similar to Arma 3's ACE^3
stormridersp Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Im having some problems while playing in VR and operating the Commander' station in the Tiger. I feels like the head tracking is very clunky and the vision keeps like snappying up or down whenever I try to keep focus on the vision blocks. Very disturbing.
