FMF*BarracudaCZ Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 (edited) I got a beautiful U-2VS / Po-2 beautiful birthday gift for my birthday so we decided to try it out with my airline partner. For the test we chose the WoL server, where there was a very real threat from virtually all opponents. Edited March 20, 2019 by FMF*BarracudaCZ 2 1
56RAF_Roblex Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Your biggest mistake was flying along the river. If you had stayed over the trees he might never have seen you and if he did see you then he would have been more worried about hitting the trees when he dove down. Over the river you were very easy to spot and he knew he could fly very low without hitting anything. 2
SCG_ErwinP Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 I totally agree with Roblex! Nice video and music! 1
Raptorattacker Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Yep, ditto. Good watch though and great music! STAY OVER COVER!! 1
FMF*BarracudaCZ Posted March 22, 2019 Author Posted March 22, 2019 Thank you for your comments. Perhaps you are right that above the trees I am less noticeable to the enemy attacking from above, but I think that for the enemy patrolling just above the ground I am less noticeable just above the river below the trees. Finally, the pilot who attacked us spotted us over the target where we were overly more noticeable. Fortunately, we were well covered by a friendly fighter

Finally, the pilot who attacked us spotted us over the target where we were overly more noticeable. It was that part that made me think you made a mistake staying over the river. At 13:15 you see the fighter appear and it looks like maybe he did not see you at first because instead of diving on you he turned away. Even if he *had* spotted you straight away then there was no longer any advantage to staying under treetop height. It just made it safer for him to attack without worrying about hitting trees plus even when someone has spotted you and attacked it is quite easy for them to lose you again amongst the trees after they pull up for a second attack. I have evaded many enemies who were very close and had already attacked once just because they lost sight of me over the trees. I have also seen enemies escape after my first attack because I could not find them again when I turned back ? 1
FMF*BarracudaCZ Posted March 22, 2019 Author Posted March 22, 2019 You're right several times I've also lost enemies just above the ground. Thanks for all your insights
