Is this the nudge that BoX needs to transition to DX 12 ?

Would this be of significant enough benefit for BoX to make the jump to DirectX 12 ?   Given that when flying most other things, apart from the cockpit, or aircraft if viewed in third person, are quite far away and thus don't need such detailed refinement.

Not sure if this is correct or not, but seems like I remember a move to DX12 would basically knock out the use of previous DX  versions.

So someone not yet moved to a DC12 capability would be left out in the cold.

I would think if that were the case may be some time before this can happen.

 

Someone please correct me if I am remembering this wrong.

Looks like an interesting manner to integrate bigger maps for ground (tanks) and air warfare without penalizing performance too much.
