Tazilon Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 I am new to the Flying Circus and IL-2 series but not to flight sims. Why in the world does my view keep switching when I don't change it? Example 1: I am lining up a shot and use my rudder to yaw the plane to the left. My view turns fairly rapidly to the left and ruins my chance to fire. Example 2: We come at each other and as we pass, my view goes haywire. It isn't auto-tracking, it just seemingly randomly goes left or right. At the moment, this is really destroying the game for me. It's like I can't control my own head; the program is just sporadically turning my head for me. Any ideas?
ShamrockOneFive Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Possibly you've got a key binding that's conflicting? That sounds really weird. Are you using any kind of head tracking hardware/software?
Tazilon Posted March 13, 2019 Author Posted March 13, 2019 Its all default. Haven't changed any key bindings yet.
Zooropa_Fly Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Are you using head-tracking.. was the pertinent question ? 2
JGr2/J5_Baeumer Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Welcome to the community by the way! Yes, the type of head tracking if any, you are using would be helpful to know. None - hat switch Track IR VR

You have to check if there is any conflict with snap views and such, because not always the default settings will assign the right keys. In DCS I have to go over everything and set new key bindings with my G940. You might be triggering snap views while controlling the plane.
J5_Gamecock Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 Also, are you using the mouse or a joystick? 1
