Can’t get joystick and throttle recognized

Hello, I am new to Bos and I am trying to set up my vkb gladiator and Thrustmaster twcs throttle to use in game. I checked the box in game to use flight stick but when I try to calibrate them in settings, nothing happens. When I move flightstick, the x and y axis don’t register on screen. Is there a different way to do this in settings? I use same set up for x plane 11 and it works perfectly. Thanks for any help

After the last update (3.0.12), IL2 has "lost" my Thrustmaster Warthog stick, all of the other controls are there, and the mappings still exist, but it's not seen. If I try to re-map the controller none of its buttons or axis are recognized by IL2.

 

The controller works fine in everything else...

 

I backed up the devices.txt and let IL2 create a new one and the Warthog stick is indeed missing from the list, how do I get it back!

I change joystick last week and same thing happens, the axes of the new stick became unresponsive in controls GUI.

 

This game has a strange feature that try re-use/migrate old joystick assignments,  what in some cases prevents a new joystick to be recognized - or more hinder than help, usually this is fixed by deleting/renaming the file

I delete and after the new stick (VKB Gladiator) work OK.
