Panzerlang Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 (edited) I've googled... I'm running IL2 with Open Composite and OTT. Default sound in W10 is my external speaker setup. Regardless of that the IL2 sounds come through the Rift. I found a setting in the Rift software to force sound through my external speakers as well as the Rift but it's not ideal. I've messed with the OTT sound switcher, it's changed nothing. I'm stumperoonied. Edit: This is after a reinstall of the OS. TIA for any help. Edited March 9, 2019 by Uffz-Prien
dburne Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 You should not have to force sound anywhere to have the sound come through your speakers as long as they are set in Windows to default. In OTT in the sound setting, make sure the "audio switcher" setting in unchecked. As long as that is unchecked your IL-2 sound should always come through the speakers if set to default. If that does not work, try uninstalling OTT and deleted any remaining files, and re-installing the latest version. Then do not put a check in the audio switcher in OTT. Now the only thing different on your end than me, is you are running Open Composite. I just run SteamVR so am not familiar with it or if it has any sound settings or affect sound in the program.
