Superflyer Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 Hello, ..... I had from time to time at "winter use" with very cold temperatures at once engine misfires, say sudden drop in speed, the boost pressure, to engine standstill, with subsequent emergency landing. All this in normal cruising, while maintaining the engine parameters !!!!! like temperature, speed, etc. Observed at MiG-3 and I-16. It can also be observed on the plumes that the controlled machines give full load from time to time, possibly 120% mixture, and then return to "normal mode". According to descriptions of former pilots, memoirs etc. made to free the spark plugs, with the Me-109 there is a direct switch / lever for candle release. Can it be that that is simulated in BOX, and then just in winter, the spark plugs times free running through full throttle ????? Does anyone have similar experience or knows about it? Kind regards
