Anyone else getting the start error in hanger screen?

Getting all the way to the hanger/ENTER screen, then after hitting enter getting a "new version available, please udate game"

Anyone else or is this isolated to me?

My game is OK. You're going through the launcher, right? There was a hotfix released today.

Yep, launcher.

I'll try going into the game folder.

 

No luck.

I'll post in the beta forum.

Does your startup.cfg have this section at the end?:

 

[KEY = updater]
    enable_udp = 0
    language = "eng"
    locales = "rus,eng,ger,spa,fra,pol"
    p2p_port = 6881
    seed = 0
    web_distribution = 1
[END]

Which folder? I don't see that .cfg in bin/game oddly.

found it...hang on

I expected my enable_udp to be equal to 1, so you could try that too if web distribution =1 is not enough.

 

Every now and then in the past some sections of my startup.cfg got corrupted for some reason, but that hasn't happened for quite awhile now.

Thanks Jim, but changing those entries doesn't help.

I'll just sit back, I'm sure it will be resolved.

 

In the meantime...any harm in leaving both of those set to "1" or should I change them back?

I just updated with today's hotfix...mine is "ops normal." Would there be any value in trying (renaming) the launcher.exe.backup and try to restart?

This is what my game folder looks like today.

LOL - no worries.

I cant' work on any missions (well I cant' test anyway) so I'll catch up on Requiem videos.

 

Oops I just remembered I have sound files to edit...dang it.

Leave web distribution at 1. I'm not sure about enable_udp, given that mine is set to 0 (I wonder if it was 1 before I successfully updated today?)

I get that message when I try to login offline and there has been a new update, but never when I get in and I'm trying to open the Hangar screen.  Maybe the update didn't install correctly.

Joke aside; my first step would be verifying game files (steam) or download new launcher from official website.

Are you running through steam? I unfortunately do and had this happen once before, I fixed it by starting steam up and selecting from the available games (clod blitz and  BoX) and it then updated.

my udp also =0 as is web  distribution.

Apart from being able to say that two members of 56squad also dont have to use steam and had no problems with update, I got nothing more either.

Try deleting the updates folder in your installation and then run the launcher again.
