Flare pistol in Stuka's cockpit ?

During a mission with a Ju-87, I see sometimes a pistol on the left side of the cockpit (I think it's a flare pistol) that hides my clock.
Even after landing, while I'm about to stop and get the message of successful landing, the pilot's arm jumps out with the gun pointed forward and the mouse aims the gunsight.
I would like to know what it means and how to take it out of way...
Thanks, Stebas

Check your key settings for a keybinding conflict for selecting flares in "weapons" - there you'll also find a binding for removing the flare gun/pistol. You can see conflicts/multifunctions on keys by the presence orange icon than appears upper right next to key in the grid slots to the left of the actions. if you click on this it will tell you what other things are assigned to that keypress. Selecting a flare colour "arms" the pistol.

The arm will come out when you open the canopy or perhaps when the game deems the aircraft is travelling slowly nad you have a flare gun or pistol equipped.

Thanks for the explanation SCG_BOO.
Actually there was a conflict with other commands that I deleted.
